Watching Shylah grow!

Again, I had the pleasure of photographing Shylah again - she was my beautiful newborn with the gorgeous older sister. Simone and Sam Bruce sure did something right when they had these babies... Their skin was perfect, their smiles would melt your heart, it was bliss with them today!

On top of being an absolute pleasure to work with, Simone is someone I'd like to consider my friend. She's given me a lot of support in the last little while, and I'm so, so glad that we met.

Simone has booked a Watch Me Grow session for their little angel, and we're going to throw in a family session when little Shylah is 6 months, make sure you stay tuned!  Without further adieu, here's some teasers from Shy-Shy's 3 month shoot!

Kijiji Kate's boudoir

Not too long ago, I was featured on Kijiji Daily Deals for a Boudoir session. They sold like hotcakes, and people are starting to cash them in.

Today I met Kate, she showed up with a couple wardrobe changes, and the cutest little build-a-bear that her boyfriend bought her for their first anniversary. Kate warmed up quickly and we were flying through pictures and poses!  Kate's getting a photobook ordered for her boyfriend, so I'm editing now... that way the book gets ordered asap!

Here's Kate!

An Intimate Affair -- Ashley+Tom

On Friday July 1st, I travelled up to Parry Sound for the wedding of Ashley & Tom Evans. I've never been to Parry Sound except to drive through it on a camping trip, but I wasn't let down at all! I left with plenty of time to spare, because you never know how the cottage traffic will be the first day of the long weekend, but  got there plenty early!

My first stop was the beautiful church Ashley and Tom were getting married at. It was right on the strip and easy enough to get to, so I went to Tim Horton's to have a coffee while I waited for the wedding to begin.

At 2pm, I met Kyle, a groomsman with a sense of humour :)  Kyle helped me get into the church and then slowly but surely, the guests started to arrive. Since it was a small wedding, it was easy to get to know the guests and I had a great time not only working, but talking to Ashley and Tom's families.

After the ceremony, it was off to the beach in the fire truck!  Tom's a fireman, so it was only fitting to have the pumper drive them around!  We got some fantastic shots down on the beach, and some cute ones at the firehall... but the dances were what had me literally in tears. I got teary for the first dance, I was a sobbing mess for the parent/child dances and when the bride and groom danced with their kids... I was done. Thankfully, the mother of the bride told me it was ok to be teary, and I wasn't alone!

When the night was over, and dinner was devoured - I quietly slipped out while the guests watched a beautiful slideshow by the mother of the groom. I won't soon forget how wonderful this small, but intimate wedding was. Thank you so much to Tom and Ashley, and their families, for trusting me with their beautiful moments!

46 and fabulous! Kimberley's Boudoir...

Tonight I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Kimberley for her boudoir session. I can't get enough of her - she was just amazing to work with! You'd never know Kim was a day over 30, she is just beautiful and absolutely awesome... the shots turned out better than I could have imagined! And it helped that we had a glass of wine or two to wind down a little!

As luck would have it, my little girl woke up about 5 minutes before Kim came by, so we had to listen to her babbling and occasional yelling during the shoot, but like a veteran mum, Kim was awesome about it!

Thank you so much for letting me take your photos, they are gorgeous, just like you!!

The Bornino Family

This morning, not so bright... but early, I met up with the beautiful Bornino Family at Sunnidale park.  I tried a new location in the park this time, and wasn't disappointed by the gorgeous backdrops! The Arboretum is just amazing, and I'll be keeping it in mind when future shoots come up!

Ashley, Nick and Aliya (sorry Ashley, if I'm spelling it wrong) assured me that they were NOT photogenic, but my camera begged to differ. We got so many beautiful shots, there will be no shortage of photos to hang on the wall!

It was great meeting Ashley and Nick, and really nice to chat about cameras and business with Nick (by the way, if anyone needs a graphic designer... he's your guy!) and even more fun to take pictures of their beautiful family!

Sexy Sara's Boudoir

My first shoot of the day was with Sara. Sara found me on Kijiji Daily Deals and booked right away. I'm so lucky she contacted me, because I couldn't have asked for a more photogenic and beautiful model! Sarah got into the pictures and knew how to make them smoulder!

About halfway through the shoot, Sara's beautiful Lab/Collie mix jumped in, and some great impromptu photos arose, with the biggest smile on the beautiful model's face!

Thank you so much for inviting me to your home Sara, I hope you're going to love the photos!

Scarlett's Cake Smash

It seems like yesterday we heard about Scarlett's birth, but here we are almost celebrating her first birthday! Sara brought Scarlett over today with cake, cupcake and tutu's in tow for Scarlett's cake smashing session. Let me tell you, Scarlett didn't disappoint!

We started with the cupcake, but Scarlett was so enamoured by my little one, it was tough to get her to stay put for the pictures! But with a little coaxing and a bigger cake to get into, we managed to capture some really awesome shots! Scarlett got into the cake like it was nobody's business, and here's a teaser to prove it!
