Watching Shylah grow!

Again, I had the pleasure of photographing Shylah again - she was my beautiful newborn with the gorgeous older sister. Simone and Sam Bruce sure did something right when they had these babies... Their skin was perfect, their smiles would melt your heart, it was bliss with them today!

On top of being an absolute pleasure to work with, Simone is someone I'd like to consider my friend. She's given me a lot of support in the last little while, and I'm so, so glad that we met.

Simone has booked a Watch Me Grow session for their little angel, and we're going to throw in a family session when little Shylah is 6 months, make sure you stay tuned!  Without further adieu, here's some teasers from Shy-Shy's 3 month shoot!

Kijiji Kate's boudoir

Not too long ago, I was featured on Kijiji Daily Deals for a Boudoir session. They sold like hotcakes, and people are starting to cash them in.

Today I met Kate, she showed up with a couple wardrobe changes, and the cutest little build-a-bear that her boyfriend bought her for their first anniversary. Kate warmed up quickly and we were flying through pictures and poses!  Kate's getting a photobook ordered for her boyfriend, so I'm editing now... that way the book gets ordered asap!

Here's Kate!

An Intimate Affair -- Ashley+Tom

On Friday July 1st, I travelled up to Parry Sound for the wedding of Ashley & Tom Evans. I've never been to Parry Sound except to drive through it on a camping trip, but I wasn't let down at all! I left with plenty of time to spare, because you never know how the cottage traffic will be the first day of the long weekend, but  got there plenty early!

My first stop was the beautiful church Ashley and Tom were getting married at. It was right on the strip and easy enough to get to, so I went to Tim Horton's to have a coffee while I waited for the wedding to begin.

At 2pm, I met Kyle, a groomsman with a sense of humour :)  Kyle helped me get into the church and then slowly but surely, the guests started to arrive. Since it was a small wedding, it was easy to get to know the guests and I had a great time not only working, but talking to Ashley and Tom's families.

After the ceremony, it was off to the beach in the fire truck!  Tom's a fireman, so it was only fitting to have the pumper drive them around!  We got some fantastic shots down on the beach, and some cute ones at the firehall... but the dances were what had me literally in tears. I got teary for the first dance, I was a sobbing mess for the parent/child dances and when the bride and groom danced with their kids... I was done. Thankfully, the mother of the bride told me it was ok to be teary, and I wasn't alone!

When the night was over, and dinner was devoured - I quietly slipped out while the guests watched a beautiful slideshow by the mother of the groom. I won't soon forget how wonderful this small, but intimate wedding was. Thank you so much to Tom and Ashley, and their families, for trusting me with their beautiful moments!
